Rock Star!

Yesterday I took Kelton to the Doctor for his 2 year well check. Normally he is running all over the place and he did until the Doctor came in and then he sat so still and was just so calm. It was funny, because the Doctor said that he never sees 2 year olds sit so still. The kicker is that when Kelton got his shots, he just sat there and didn't even cry. Rylan and Alana were totally impressed as was I. Although I think I was mostly in shock. The moment the Doctor left the room the quietness stopped and he was back running around with his two older siblings. He didn't cry nothing and then he was up to the "normal" 2 year old behavior. Ha ha. Kelton you are such a brave little rock star!!!! I love you so much and I am so proud of you. You are so cute and you are talking so much (except of course when I want you to and the Doctor is in the room). I can't believe that you are 2! Way to go little Rock Star!

Walkie-Talkie

Kelton is walking so well now. He was mostly walking before I left for Girls Camp, and by the time I came home he had perfected it. He rarely crawles anymore. He is getting so big!!! I can not believe how fast time has gone since he came. He is saying so many things now. His favorite word though is probably "NO". Some of the other things he says are:
Ry-Ry (for Rylan)
Non-a (for Alana)
Hi
Bye-bye
More (most likely his second favorite word besides no)
ju (for juice)
ma-ma (yep, that's me)
da-d (nice to have a break from the ma-ma all day)
pa (opa, which is grandpa)
there's probably more that I'm forgetting, but lately he is just my little walkie-talkie.

Say Cheese!

Well, now that Kelton is mobile and crawling all over the place, I just have to be on the look out. Today was no exception. Kelton had crawled off and it became too quiet. When I found where he had crawled to this is what I found.

Yes, one big cheese. He was so pleased with him self. I blame Tony for leaving the cheese puffs open and on the floor. Perfect for Kelton to get into. :) It was pretty funny! :)

Gone

Where has the time gone? My baby is 6 months old already! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was pregnant with Kelton. He is already rolling over, babbling, and sitting up now too. We are finding out more and more about his darling little personality. He loves attention and he loves to laugh. He tries to grab anything that he can get his pudgy little hands on. I have to be careful now if I have him at the table, because he has just about tipped a few plates full of food over on me. Immediately, whatever he gets hold of goes directly to his mouth for testing. I love that he is so curious about the world around him and the possibilities it holds for him. It's amazing how much he has changed in the past few months and I love watching his progression in his motor, verbal and social skills. They are all improving every day! I am so thankful for such a sweet little spirit and can't believe that it has already been 6 months.

Oh and p.s. I finally started Kelton on solid foods. He had oatmeal baby cereal yesterday. He really liked it and I'm sure he will just love being able to try more things.

Milestones

Ok, so seriously in the last day we have had some major milestones around our house. First and foremost Alana made her first poop on the potty and told me every time she needed to use the bathroom. (Sorry if this is too graphic for you, but we are just a little excited around our house about this one). She was thrilled and proud that she is getting to be a big girl.
Alana, I am so proud of you for finally telling mommy and going on the potty....now all that money I would be spending on diapers can be used for your future prom dresses!!! Way to go princess. As promised, we will have a "pink party" for her. That was what she wanted for her reward if she could do it. I will post more details on that later.
Second, and just as important as the first....Kelton Rolled over for the first time!!! He is getting so big! Time just flies by. He loves sucking on his hands. He loves getting attention even more. He is sure to give a smile out to anyone who will talk to him. He is holding onto toys now and loves being tickled. Way to go Kelton!!!
I am so proud of all 3 of my kids and the major milestones that they accomplish every day! I love you guys!

Overdue

This post is long overdue. I just keep thinking to myself that I will post the last few things and then get "caught up" on blogging. So much has happened since my last post (yes I know it was Spring time). Here's what I am going to do. I am just going to start fresh and then I will fill in all the missing pieces in my upcoming posts. The truth is I really miss blogging. Something about it is therapeutic, it helps me relax, and I feel like I am at least doing a little family history. None of which will get done if I just keep putting off posting something.
SO here is what is on my mind....
I have a wonderful new baby boy (that I should have been blogging about already, and I wanted to put pics and updates from the moment he was born on here.) Kelton. Kelton is starting to laugh now. He is such a good baby. Sooo BIG. He is 3 months old and weighs 17 lbs. He is wearing 6-9 month clothes. He loves to be around people and is so curious about the world around him. His older brother (Rylan) and his older sister (Alana) adore him and are always loving on him. It is adorable!!!!
We are getting ready to start building our house. I am soooo excited for that. However, a part of me is a little nervous to move. I always thought when we moved in with my parents that when we moved out we would have a new house and we would still be able to come home and visit. Now that my mom is gone, things have changed and I admit that I am a little afraid of the unknown. I suppose that it is easy to feel that way. Mostly I am excited. It will be fun to see our dream become a reality. I am excited to be able to start working on my food storage again and actually have a place to put it. Can anyone say playroom??? I'm sure I will still be tripping over toys, but at least they will have a designated place or room.
I have an amazing husband. So thankful for him. I am starting to realize how important supporting each other is. So many people we know have been getting divorced. Things aren't perfect, but who's is. What I do know is that we are happy, we have 3 beautiful, healthy kids, a place to live and so many things to be thankful for. Saying all this is long overdue. So glad to be back.
